It is with great sadness that I must announce the passing of our dear friend Morris Boam. Morris and his wife Maureen discovered the band 20 years ago and supported TABB for years together. After Maureen passed, Morris became part of the TABB6, a group of dedicated seniors who travelled with the band by bus to during the past 2 years. ![]()

Canada Day and Morris was determined to celebrate with us. Over the summer, Morris was too weak for our bus trips however, he insisted on hosting our Blue Champagne Garden Party that has been in his backyard for so many years. Generations of TABB member surly remember the day that we perform up close and personal with our special donors.![]()

Last night Zygmunt and I had the privilege of staying with Morris for some of his final hours. I, of course, played Big Band Music to stir his memories and help him move on to Maureen, who would be waiting to dance with him once more. Thank you to TABB for always respecting these wonderful donors and fans of TABB. Rest in Peace Morris![]()

In 2026, TABB celebrates 30 years. That’s three decades of providing free music education to young local musicians who have carried their experiences into every corner of their lives. Some alumni used their time in the band to hone their craft and go on to successful music careers. Others built families and lifelong friendships through the connections they made. All have gained lasting memories and a community of musicians and supporters for life. TABB has touched countless people, and none of it would be possible without your generosity.![]()
